Years of Service...
The American Red Cross in the Finger Lakes began as two separate chapters - Geneva and Seneca County - but merged in 1996 to streamline our efforts and make us more efficient at serving the needs of our community.
Last year we provided the following services in Seneca and eastern Ontario counties:
Responded to 19 Single Family Disasters and 5 Multi Family Operations
Trained 1,624 people in CPR & First Aid programs
Collected 4,045 units of blood
Delivered 20,631 meals to senior citizens
Reached 3,800 youth with HIV/AIDS peer education
Provided food, fuel, prescriptions and medical supplies to 1,072 family members
Trained 255 youth in water safety programs
Staffed 4 First Aid/Emergency Stations for local events
